Dates announced for Guelph ICASP Reading Group and Speaker Series

The Guelph ICASP Reading Group and ICASP Speaker Series starts Tuesday, October 13 with three short readings on improvisation. The Reading Group runs monthly during the Fall and Winter terms; subsequent dates are November 10 and December 8, 2009, and January 26, February 9, March 9, and April 6, 2010.

"Faculty, members of the ICASP project, students, visiting academics, artists, community members -- all are welcome," says Dr. Rebecca Caines, the groups' facilitator. The group meets from 1:30-3:30 p.m. in room 132, MacKinnon Building.

Listening itself, an improvisative act engaged in by everyone, announces a practice of active engagement with the world, where we sift, interpret, store and forget, in parallel with action and fundamentally articulated with it ("Mobilitas Animi" 113).
