Call for Contributions - Al Mada Music Therapy Centre

In April, ICASP research team member Daniel Fischlin will be travelling to Ramallah in the West Bank to visit the Al Mada Music Therapy Centre. The centre's mission includes fostering creative expression, healing, and community-building through the arts, in particular music. Daniel has asked for individuals and/or groups in Guelph to contribute to a box of materials (books, recordings, small instruments, etc.) that will be delivered to the centre.

If you are interested in making a contribution or hearing more about this initiative, please contact Lauren Michelle Levesque or Chris Tonelli at: levesqul@uoguelph.ca or ctonelli@uoguelph.ca.

Thank you for considering making a contribution!

So one of the things that improvisation has come to mean in the context of highly technological performance is that improvisation is the last claim to the legitimate presence of a human in the performance of music.
